Electrolyser Engineer

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrolysis Engineer to join our team at Hydro Havrand. As the Electrolysis Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the technology selection for our Green Hydrogen projects, with a focus on techno-economic aspects and safety factors. Your role will involve monitoring the latest technology developments and collaborating with electrolyzer suppliers, engineering companies, and technological peers to stay up to date with the most innovative solutions. Responsibilities:
In this position, you will serve as a reference for matters related to electrolyzer technology and be responsible for driving the selection of optimal solutions for our projects. The primary
- Contribute to improving our understanding of electrolyzers and provide technical assessments throughout project life cycle.
- Monitor improvements in existing water electrolysis solutions and identify project optimization potential.
- Develop technical specifications, scope of work, and technical reports.
- Create and maintain a network of technical peers and key suppliers and review technical documentation from suppliers.
- Coordinate and supervise work from contractors, perform qualification and due diligence on electrolyzer suppliers and factories.
- Participate in R&D initiatives, tests, and technology qualification programs.
Qualification criteria:
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of a master’s degree in engineering, Science or Technology and at least 5 years of experience working in the oil & gas, energy, chemical or process industry. In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in the design or operation of water electrolysis units. Experience working on an electrolyzer OEM and Green Hydrogen projects is considered advantageous. Fluency in English, both oral and written, is a must.
