Senior/Principle Electrolyser Engineer

As a Senior / Principle Electrolyser Engineer, you will work to support Statkrafts Hydrogen ambitions providing deep technical knowledge and insights on all technologies and processes related to electrolyser technology and supporting systems. You will provide subject matter expertise to project teams, M&A, procurement and R&D. You will also play a key role in supporting the technology strategy and outlook. You will work closely with project teams and other discipline experts providing technical expertise across Statkrafts Hydrogen and Hydrogen derivative activities.

In this role, you will:

  • Be a technical authority within electrolyser technology and processes for all Statkraft hydrogen and hydrogen derivative projects

  • Provide subject matter expertise to projects in development, M&A, procurement and R&D

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with the electrolyser supply chain.

  • Support ongoing and emerging projects with electrolyser expertise tailored to individual project needs.

  • Provide expert advice into technology assessments and concept selection for projects under development.

  • Work closely with other subject matter experts enabling strong whole system integration.

  • Review and approve drawings, documents and reports developed by third parties.

  • Provide subject matter expertise into technology roadmap and technology outlook.

  • Work on electrolyser technology development and improvement through R&D initiatives

  • This role will require some domestic and international travel

Qualifications

  • University degree in engineering/chemistry/physics or equivalent

  • 7-years of technical experience is required.

  • Electrolyser OEM experience is required.

  • Expertise in both Alkaline and PEM technologies is required

  • Expertise in Solid Oxide electrolysers, Anion Exchange Membrane or other emerging electrolyser technologies is an advantage.

  • Experience with both upstream and downstream system integration is desirable.

  • Experience with technology strategy and technology development programs is desirable

  • Good communication and presentation skills is required

  • Availability to travel to meet development teams, start-ups, suppliers, partners and clients is required

  • Fluent in English, both oral and written. Norwegian/European languages are an advantage.
